Jal Al-Liyah Fenced Area

A wildlife fenced area, with an area of 147 km2. It was announced according to the Supreme Council for the Environment Resolution No. 7/2016, under the supervision of the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research. The purpose of its establishment is to rehabilitate the area that was subjected to the destruction of the topsoil during years of exploitation and to protect the natural environment in it. The Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research implements a number of rehabilitation projects and cultivation of fungal plant species there.
