Umm Niqa Natural Reserve

A natural wildlife reserve with an area of 246 km2 and was approved by Cabinet Resolution No. 25 of 2011 and handed over to the Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources as part of the terrestrial environment rehabilitation projects. It was announced according to the Supreme Council for the Environment Decision No. 7/2016. The purpose of its establishment is to protect the environment and its biological diversity, and for the purposes of terrestrial environment rehabilitation projects.
