Protection low environment No.(42) for the year 2014
Dated in 29-6-2014 the law issued no. (42) for the year 2014 relative to environment protection and it has been published dated 13-7-2014 and that which means start to work with considering from 12 oct. 2014 whereas it consists from guidance door and includes three chapters and 9 main doors some of it consist from many chapters and totally the number of his materials 181 material.
And transmitted the law in clarifying the detailed provisions to execution lists and necessary decisions to execute the provisions of the law whereas some of it issued from the concerned minster and some of it issued from the general manager for the authority after the approval of the department council.
And the updates are the following:
- First complete law for environment protection in Kuwait.
- Apply the provisions of the law on all the general sides and concerned and individuals.
- The following to set up a box related to perform the projects that amid to environment protection and her recourses and keeping on her balance and supporting the efforts of contain the environment disasters and crises and encourage the turning to green economy.
- Impose the assignments located on the side country concerned and specialized and located a duration of time to execute these assignments and this duration range between 3-6 months and year and 2 year and 3 years and 5 years and 7 years.
- The law includes a lot of texts and rules and new provisions and important in the aspect of environment protection in Kuwait country and the new in facing off all that threaten her safety for an example: construct specialized cop with environmental affairs and the existence of the environmental monitors in the general institution, construct the departments that specialized with the environment in national institution.
- The law includes a complete door for the penalties on the environment violations for the said provisions in the law and the violations ranged from penalty 50 kd up to million dinner Kuwaiti and jailed from 24 hours up to life imprisoned and execution in these violations for provisions article 25 from the law and it is related to nuclear trashes, with addition to civil responsibility and compensation
- Give the judicial set for some employers of public authority for environment for inspection and set the environmental violations.
In 2016 it has been registered 1369 violations with a reason of violators for the law of environment protection no. (42) for the year 2014 and modified no. (99) for the year 2015 some of it 1088 and for individuals 281 for facilities (factories, governmental sides, trading complex washing station and printers.
