Transportation of industrial facilities from Ras Asherj (Doha)
Based on decision of council minster No. (191) taken in meeting No. (10/2003) held on 9/2/2003 regarding the rehabilitation of Kuwait bay, which was one of its most important items Transferring all industrial facilities of all kinds from Ras Asherj area to outside Kuwait bay.
Whereas, the General Authority for the Environment and the Public Authority for Industry carried out the studies for all craft establishments and recommended the allocation of an alternative site by the Kuwait Municipality.
A report was prepared including the procedures for the immediate activation of the decision of the higher Council for the Environment in the meeting held (1/2003) and the esteemed minister council decision by coordination with the concerned authorities in the country.
Regarding timeline for the rehabilitation of the region from environmental damage, the General Authority for the Environment has prepared and coordinated with many specialized international organizations to invite experts and consultants specializing in the protection of the marine environment urgently and the most important of which is the British Center for Marine Environmental Science, Fisheries and breeding of the life marine creatures (Cefas).
