Minister of State for Development and Sustainability Affairs, Dr. Reem Al-Fulaij, has directed affiliated entities to launch the pilot phase of the Government Sustainability Reporting System under the EEDG framework, with the aim of strengthening environmental governance, measuring environmental performance, and improving sustainability indicators in the State of Kuwait.

The pilot phase includes the preparation of standardized sustainability reports featuring measurable performance indicators to support transparency and environmental disclosure. It will also contribute to establishing a national database that enhances evidence-based decision-making and improves the efficiency of natural resource management.

This initiative is part of the State’s ongoing efforts to institutionalize sustainability principles, achieve its environmental and climate objectives, and strengthen Kuwait’s standing in relevant international sustainability indices and reports.
