The Environment Public Authority, chaired by the Acting Director General and represented by the Coastal Monitoring and Desertification Department, held a coordination meeting with several government entities. The meeting aimed to discuss the draft National Strategic Plan to Combat Desertification and approve its overall framework.

It also addressed the conceptual and methodological framework for the data collection plan, ensuring its alignment with the requirements of the strategy, the monitoring and reporting system, as well as reporting requirements and relevant international obligations.
