With the attendance of the Acting Director General of the Environment Public Authority, Ms. Nouf Behbehani, the First Training Course for Qualifying National Negotiators for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) was officially launched. The course is organized by the Environment Public Authority in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is being held at the Saud Nasser Al-Sabah Diplomatic Institute from 19 to 22 July 2026.
The training course aims to strengthen the capacities of national professionals in climate change negotiations by equipping participants with the knowledge and skills required for international climate negotiations and climate action mechanisms. This will enhance the participation of the State of Kuwait in relevant international conferences and forums while supporting the country’s efforts to fulfill its environmental and climate commitments. The initiative also forms part of the Environment Public Authority’s ongoing efforts to strengthen national expertise and further develop institutional capacities in this field.
