Kuwait poison control center
24/9/2026

A coordination meeting was held between the Environment Public Authority (EPA) and the Kuwait Poison Control Center regarding reports of toxic plants found near public areas.
The meeting addressed protocols for handling these reports—attended by the Center’s Director, Abdulatif Al-Oumi, and EPA representatives from the Biodiversity Department—and focused on enhancing coordination and information sharing among relevant authorities. It also involved designating points of contact to ensure rapid response and the implementation of appropriate measures to mitigate potential risks to public health and the environment.
This meeting is part of the EPA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation with relevant stakeholders, monitor locations where toxic plants are found, and take necessary actions in collaboration with the Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources, thereby contributing to the protection of the community and the preservation of the environment.
