introductory workshop for the eco initiative for e-waste recycling
3/11/2026
In the presence of the Governor of Al-Ahmadi, Sheikh Humoud Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and under the auspices of the Environment Public Authority (EPA)—in collaboration with the company "Eco"—an introductory workshop was held for the second edition of the "Eco" electronic waste recycling initiative. Centered on the theme "Private Universities Challenge," the initiative launched today at the Kuwait College of Science and Technology, with the participation of several private-sector companies.
This endeavor reflects the students' efforts to translate environmental awareness into practical action, promote a culture of waste sorting at the source and recycling, and embed the concepts of a circular economy—all of which contribute to reducing electronic waste, protecting the environment, and achieving sustainability.
The Environment Public Authority continues its supervisory role in supporting environmental initiatives and strengthening partnerships with educational institutions and the private sector. This contributes to fostering an environmentally conscious generation and establishing sustainable practices that yield positive impacts on both the environment and society.
