Environmental Impact Assessment System in the State of Kuwait
- The “Environmental and Social Impact Assessment System in the State of Kuwait” was issued and published in (Kuwait Today) newspaper on 7/12/2016 within the executive regulations of Law No. 42 of 2014 regarding environmental protection, as amended by Law No. (99) of 2015.
- The Public Authority for the Environment submit the topic to the Council of GCC Undersecretaries during the thirty-sixth meeting of the agents responsible for environmental affairs in the countries of the Cooperation Council held in Doha 26-27 October 2015, and a workshop was held, "Guidance Steps Manual for Environmental Impact Assessment" for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries In the presence of its representatives and the representative of the United Nations Environment Program and specialists from the World Bank and the participation of government agencies, the private sector and public benefit societies on 4-6 / 10/2016 - the State of Kuwait.
- Currently, coordination is performed with the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf to issue a unified guide for assessing the environmental impact.
