The Authority participated with the Healthy Cities Office and a number of concerned authorities to disseminate the healthy city concept, its management, and its standards to malls and shopping centers in the State of Kuwait, where a number of them are currently participating in the Health Promoting Mall Initiative, for which a number of Gulf-approved standards have been formulated and relied upon in evaluating the extent of The participating shopping malls adhere to the healthy city standards, as the role of the Environment Public Authority was based on evaluating the extent of the participating mall’s commitment to environmental standards and requirements, the level of community participation, and supporting environmental awareness efforts and activities.
