The State of Kuwait, represented by the Environment Public Authority, participated in a workshop on regional climate modeling applications in the Arab region. Held in Muscat, Oman, on September 15–16, 2026, the event was organized in cooperation with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA).
The workshop showcased various environmental initiatives and projects focused on climate change adaptation. These included a coastal ecosystem rehabilitation project involving the cultivation of mangrove plants in several coastal areas of Kuwait—undertaken in collaboration with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states—highlighting the project's role in strengthening coastal ecosystems, supporting biodiversity, and bolstering climate adaptation efforts, alongside the exchange of expertise and the enhancement of regional cooperation in environmental protection.
