International Horticultural Exhibition Expo Doha 2023
Expo Doha 2023 is an international horticultural exhibition held under the slogan “Green Desert, Better Environment” in Doha from October 2, 2023 to March 17, 2024. The exhibition aims to encourage innovative solutions to achieve sustainability in desert areas and international cooperation in the field of the environment.
The State of Kuwait is one of more than 80 countries participating in the exhibition, presenting a pavilion that reflects its efforts in combating desertification, preserving biodiversity and developing renewable energy projects. The Kuwait Pavilion consists of six main areas:
- Environmental Awareness Area: It aims to educate visitors about the environmental challenges facing Kuwait and the world, and possible solutions to overcome them.
- Sustainability Zone: Showcasing Kuwait’s initiatives in the field of sustainability, such as natural reserves, green projects and recycled water.
- Modern Agriculture Area: It showcases the modern technologies that Kuwait uses in agriculture, such as hydroponics, vertical agriculture, and smart agriculture.
- Technology and Innovation District: Kuwaiti innovations are demonstrated in the field of energy and environment, such as solar, wind, hydrogen and nano energy.
- Oasis area: represents Kuwait’s agricultural and cultural heritage, simulates the Kuwait Oasis and the Al-Ahmadi Oasis, and displays the types of local plants and fruits.
- Display and seating area: It provides a space for rest and interaction with visitors. It contains display screens, water basins, and seats designed in the shape of water towers.
The Kuwait Pavilion blends nature and technology in its design, and uses environmentally friendly and energy-efficient materials. The pavilion also offers interactive, educational and entertainment programs for visitors of different ages and interests. The Kuwait Pavilion seeks to raise the flag of Kuwait and show its true image in the pursuit of greening and sustainability, and contribute to achieving the goals and vision of the exhibition.
