Monitoring and tracking the contains of biological diversity in different environments outside the natural reserves project

Aims of the project:

  • Documenting the components of biological diversity in different environments outside the natural reserves, including fungal species of various types, migratory and resident plant and animal species, and their distribution with different ecosystems in the State of Kuwait
  • Electronic linking of databases on biodiversity in different environments in the State of Kuwait with the state's educational and research institutions.
  • Field training for employees of the Environment Public Authority on monitoring and control.
  • Follow up the implementation of the State of Kuwait's obligations towards regional and international treaties and agreements related to the conservation and protection of biological diversity to which it has become a party, with the relevant authorities of the state:

- Agreement of biological diversity CBD

- Agreement of international trade with types which that threaten by extinction CITES

- Agreement of keeping on the fungal life and normal homelands in cooperative council for Arabian gulf countries.
