Electronic Environmental Compliance Platform
The Environmental Compliance Platform is an electronic platform that aims to expedite the procedures of services provided by the Environmental Control Sector in cooperation with the concerned authorities in the country which are the General Administration of Customs, the Ministry of Interior and the Public Authority for Industry. The platform works to reduce the documentary session and cancel paper-based procedures, as well as cancel direct interaction with the public, in compliance with the decision of the Council of Ministers in this regard.
This platform targets environmental agreements and compliance with international treaties regarding them,The environmental compliance platform will enhance the authority's ability to measure the degree of commitment with the international community regarding to many international environmental agreements, Including the Rotterdam Convention related to the application of prior approval procedures for the handling of chemicals and pesticides in international trade, The Montreal Protocol of the Vienna Convention for the protection of the ozone layer, The Basel Convention on the control of transboundary movements of hazardous wastes and their disposal, And the global agenda 2030 that embraces the sustainable development goals.
